Hello, I'm Mike Shields, the driving force behind Plus Computer Solutions Ltd, where I guide our strategic vision and serve as System Architect and SQL Developer. My journey into the tech world has been both rewarding and multifaceted, spanning over three decades of deep-diving into technology, finance, and retail industries.

My career is built on a foundation of an Executive MBA from Simon Fraser University and a Master of Philosophy in International Economics from the London School of Economics. This academic background has enabled me to skillfully weave together sophisticated finance, technology and strategic problem-solving, complementing my passion for innovation and entrepreneurship.

I started Plus Computer Solutions as an initiative to explore tech-driven business solutions. My team and I have tackled projects ranging from grocer administration systems to finance and social marketing, all while ensuring seamless user experiences and robust business procedures.

Alongside my corporate role, I've had the privilege of imparting my knowledge through lectures and political campaign management. As a passionate educator, I enjoyed my time as an instructor at Simon Fraser University, where I taught economics, technology, and international relations seminars.

Currently, I'm in a semi-retired phase where my interest in mentoring, business acquisitions, and co-investment opportunities keeps me engaged. As a lifelong learner and a Mensa member, challenging the status quo and seeking out novel endeavors (be it traditional or cutting-edge) is my ongoing pursuit.
