About Henry
Henry Yang is a dedicated UI/UX designer and the current Director of Technology at UBC BizChina, where he channels his expertise in technology and design to foster innovative solutions. Based in the vibrant Greater Vancouver Metropolitan Area, Henry balances his professional ventures with academia as he pursues a degree in Cognitive Systems with a focus on psychology and computer science at the University of British Columbia. This interdisciplinary background allows him to create designs that are both aesthetically pleasing and deeply empathetic to user needs.
Having accumulated substantial experience in user-centric design, Henry has served in various roles—from a Web Designer and IT Associate at UBC BizChina to a Product Designer at UBC Launch Pad. His journey began as a SHAD fellow in 2017, a prestigious enrichment program that has been pivotal in shaping his career. Henry's work ethic and vision were also instrumental during his tenure at AI Garden in Kunming, China, where he further honed his prowess in UX design.
Passionate about bridging the gap between humans and technology, Henry thrives on the challenge of transforming complex ideas into intuitive user experiences.
