About David
Hello, I’m David Olsson, a passionate technologist and entrepreneur based in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. With a career spanning over 20 years, I have dedicated myself to harnessing the power of emerging technologies to not only drive innovation but also enable meaningful human connections.
As the current Chief Technology Officer at AIMQC, my focus is on transforming quality control in Alberta's energy sector through AI-driven solutions. I believe in technology as a catalyst for efficiency and innovation, ensuring processes align better with human-centric work patterns.
Throughout my career, I've had the privilege to lead several pioneering efforts at companies like Atomic47 Labs, NS8 Corporation, and Vision Critical, where I’ve worked on cutting-edge digital design and multimedia projects. As an entrepreneur and founder of initiatives like Click Factory and Worksona, I have actively shaped how technology integrates with daily life and business strategies.
Educationally, I started my journey at the University of Victoria, culminating with a stint at Capilano University focusing on information technologies. My teaching roles at institutions like Capilano University and the Vancouver Film School enriched my understanding of the academic landscape, allowing me to engage and mentor the next generation of technological leaders.
Technology is my passion, but so is the human experience behind it. My explorations have always been driven by a curiosity to marry technological advancements with user-centric design principles. Whether I'm advancing solutions in AI or blockchain, I aim to build environments that foster innovation while keeping ethical technology use at the forefront.
